Mathieu was not able to play in Week 1 because of a positive COVID testing He made his season debut on Sunday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. What a first for him was, with Honey Badger recording two interceptions one of which he returned for an touchdown. Mathieu's Awareness rating and catch rate has increased by one percentage point to 99 and the other 82, respectively. The overall rating is currently a 96.

After a strong rebound performance in Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks, Titans running back Derrick Henry saw some ratings modified, though he's still at a 95 overall. Henry's rating at the start of his career caught many people off guard as the majority of supporters believe that he's the top running back in the NFL. He certainly made a strong case for his position with 182 yards of rushing and three touchdowns in Week 2. Henry's catching went up to two points and a 64, but his break tackle fell three points to a score of 92.

Christian McCaffrey (Carolina Panthers halfback) is worth watching. He suffered a hamstring injury against the Houston Texans on Thursday night. Although injuries aren't a major reason for a player's rating in Madden 22 it will be interesting for Henry to be able to replace McCaffrey as the best back in Madden 22.
