This is a busy December for Path of Exile, with six new and returning events coming into the game in a limited time. This first event brought major changes to the game’s map content, so players need to buy POE Currency to prepare. The Atlas Invasion lasts for 10 days, starting at 3 pm Eastern Time on December 24th and ending at 3 pm Eastern Time on January 2nd.

GGG described Atlas Invasion as “more like a normal Path of Exile league”, compared with the events of last month. During the event, each area (except Twilight Strand) is guaranteed to contain five endgame map bosses. It also guaranteed each of these bosses to drop at least one unique POE Items.

The top five players in each game Ascendancy Classes will get a Demigod’s Authority legendary one-handed sword. Swords, like some other Demigod items in the game, will increase the size of their characters. Players can also buy POE Orbs to configure equipment for their characters.

During the event, every player who reaches level 50 will get an Atlantis Mystery Box. Each box will contain microtransaction-based items randomly selected from two underwater-themed sets: the Siren set and the Deepwater set. Each account is limited to POE Items Buy.

It will also enter players who reach a higher level threshold during the event into a random draw for microtransaction-based items. After the event, the number of each item is limited. Upgrading multiple characters to each tier will increase the odds of winning. It listed all bonus levels below, with the number of items in parentheses.

Level 60: Harlequin footprints effect, Wasteland weapon effect, Rose Skull (1,000 each)
Level 70: Demon King portal effect, Mystic portal effect, Dragon portal effect (1,000 each)
Level 80: Huntsman character effect, Zenith character effect, Temple character effect (700 each)
Level 85: Apocalypse armor set, Purple Crystal armor set, Stormcaller armor set (200 each)
Level 90: Ultimate Chaos cloak, Arcane Seraph wings, Huntsman wings (200 each)
Level 95: Stygian wings, Demonic armor set, White herald effect (50 each)
