Option 2 - Hit It Head-On
If you can't dodge the wave, your only option is to face it directly-literally.
Turn your ship perpendicular to the wave. Imagine the wave as a long straight line; you want your ship to be at a 90-degree angle to that line.
This allows your vessel to slice through the wave head-on, reducing the force of impact. If the wave hits you broadside (sideways or at an angle), your ship is far more likely to Skull and Bones Items flip or sink.
As the wave makes contact, brace for impact by holding the right shoulder button (R1/RB). This further reinforces your ship's stability and helps reduce damage.
With practice, you'll be able to quickly identify the best angle and time your brace for maximum survivability.
What Happens If You Fail?
