Cobra Forged Tec iron family

The Cobra Forged Tec iron family offers performance, feel, forgiveness, distance, and a  one length option. The iron heads are packed with technology that benefit golfers. The hollow body construction, multiple materials, and head shapes are combined to help golfers optimize ball flight. In order to discover your best fit, a custom club fitting is recommended. Even the one length option should be fit to ensure the length, loft, lie, shaft, and set make-up meet your needs.

Why a custom golf club fitting is vital?

The golf club affects distance, accuracy, feel, and consistency. The grip, the shaft, the club head, and the complete club should be measured to confirm the specification that influences performance. Some golfers are more sensitive to golf equipment specifications; thus, a custom golf club fitting can identify the golfer’s exact golf club needs. For distance gains, the heft of the club, loft, and length are primary influencers; however, club head design, the center of gravity, and shaft flex can also affect distance changes.

The Cobra Forged Tec X is engineered for forgiveness and easy distance, the Forged Tec is engineered for feedback and distance for the mid to low-handicap golfer, and the Forged Tec One provides a simple and consistent setup for all irons because of the one-length concept. Finding out your best fit can be discovered by club fitting because the shaft, grip size, lie angle, and head type is identified through ball flight results and your feedback.

Technology for Custom Club Fitting

Each golfer requires different golf clubs to achieve their performance goals. The FlightScope X3 measures 29 data points and offers the Environmental Optimizer (EO) to reflect results. The EO allows the adjustment of altitude, humidity, temperature, landing height, wind, and wind direction. This allows the comparison of a normalized ball flight to different environments. The detailed data from launch monitors is significant in fittings; however, measuring the specs of the tested clubs reduces the effect of variables. For example, demo clubs usually do not match the off-the-rack clubs. However, all club fittings are not the same.

Club Fitting Services

Our club fitting process at Hensey Sports includes an interview, current club analysis, the Mizuno 3D Shaft Optimizer assessment, demo club testing, FlightScope X3 shot analysis, FlightScope Environmental Optimizer for real-world performance adjustments, and a recommendation report. When custom clubs are purchased from us after our club fitting, the fitting service is reduced, and the services for fine-tuning the fit are complimentary for 180 days. If a golfer is not looking to purchase but is interested in optimizing current golf clubs, we use the same process in our Golf Equipment Tune-Up and Club Assessment services.

The Workshop News aims to investigate the ‘WH’ questions [what, why, how, which, who, where, when…]. The topics link to sports psychology and the golf equipment phenomenon. Respectful dialogue is valued and cultivated so we can all transform our understanding of sports performance and personal growth.
