Maintenance Guidelines for Conical Screw Barrels
When the new conical screw barrel is used for half a year, due to wear and tear, the clearance between the screw and the barrel must be checked every three months, and appropriate adjustments must be made.
The clearance between the screw and the barrel is directly related to the quality of the product. The gap between the screw and the barrel should be neither too large nor too small.
If the gap is too large, the shear rate will be low and the plasticizing effect will be poor. The gap is too small, the shear rate is too large, the material is easy to burn, and the screw will even scrape the barrel.
Before measuring the gap between the screw and the barrel, the residual material in the barrel should be cleaned up, and the screw shaft should be close to the distribution box.
