Back in 2019, Square Enix shared the naming convention for female Viera to help people understand the lore of Final Fantasy XIV. Now, it has been updated. The company provides details on male Rava and Veena Viera names, so those interested in FFXIV can prepare enough FFXIV Gil and be able to learn more about its world. Essentially, Veena surnames always end in “-wesfv”, while Rava surnames start with “Djt-” or “Rehw-“.

To connect with the FFXIV realm, the developers use the name of the Rava male Viera. “Djt-” corresponds to heavenly in the surname, while “Rehw-” is associated with worldly. People's affinity with a world and an element is the idea. The legend also mentions, “... The Rava deems it necessary to have all twelve different surnames present in the ranks of the Wood-warders in order to keep the forest safe.” Some examples of names given are “Djt -Marouc (“star” - heavenly water)" and “Rehw-Marouc (“spring” - worldly water)".

As for the Veena male Viera in FFXIV, the name will have “guardian” as a suffix. That’s referencing their role in the community in their last name. These names will also contain ice and snow-related terms. Two exact examples provided by Square Enix are Monnawesfv (“Prism”) and Rawbewesfv (“Bone” - referring to hollow crystals).

The announcement also discusses names. It mentions that traditional male and female names are not actually required. Since the gender of Viera at birth is unknown, the name can be unisex. They also point out that all Vieras, regardless of gender, have a habit of changing their names when they grow up, and they will have forest and city names. When the Endwalker expansion pack was released, the male Viera appeared. And players can also buy FFXIV Gil at IGGM to get more resources in the game. It is very safe and reliable, try it!
