Deal
A total of 13 cards are dealt to each player, one at a time.

Objective
To score 500 points, you must be the first team to do so. Points are earned by taking at least the number of tricks that your team has bid.

Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, three, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two, two All other suited cards are outranked by spades.

Bidding
Each player will bid how many tricks he or she will win throughout the round, starting with the person to the left of the dealer.

Playing the Game
For the first trick, the player to the left of the dealer leads the first card. When feasible, each player must play a card in the same suit as the lead card. If a player is unable to follow the lead suit, he or she may play any other card.

The person who has the highest rating spade wins the trick. If no spade is played, the player with the highest ranking card in the lead suit is the winner. The trick's winner will lead the next trick.

If a player only has spade suited cards left, or if spades have been broken, a trick cannot be led with a spade suited card. When a player is unable to follow the lead suit and plays a spade onto a trick, the spade is broken.
