Hi, one of the most poignant moments of my life was travelling to Canada for college. I had never travelled abroad by myself before, so everything seemed unfamiliar. I was anxious and thrilled when I got to the Caribbean Airlines Terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Travellers, announcements, and people going in all directions crowded the terminal. I stood silently for a while, trying to process everything while holding my ticket and passport. The idea that I was moving away from home to start a new chapter felt true all of a sudden. I felt both anxious and excited at the same time.
