After returning to Ape Atoll, head north-west until you're taken to the prison. To escape the prison, use the same methods that you did before. Head east until you reach the temple's entrance. Enter through the trapdoor, and utilize the protection of Melee to defend yourself from the strong monkey guards. Note that most of the guards can be taken out while the bearded ones must be fought and cannot be pushed through. It is necessary to go upstairs and climb the ladder down on the east side. This will get you close near the trapdoor. You can also choose a different option and wait until guards are gone.
