Fashion designer Hilary married Kit, a movie editor on 14 July 2018 in the Art Deco beauty, followed by a reception at, an old tram shed turned super-cool event space. Their big day was also their sixth anniversary, too!

"We wanted the whole day to reflect us and our creativity. We went for any modern, minimal look having a relaxed vibe during the day with lots of greenery and flowers, and never too much fuss. Tones of grey, pure white, and earthy dark green foliage having a touch of copper were our color palette….We chose Hackney Town Hall because it is just in the future from where we live."

"Kit then proposed in my experience, finally, after 4 years together. He popped the question, in the end, was hanging out inside a hammock on vacation in Colombia. It was an amazing moment and I knew immediately the answer was yes. We then decided we desired to marry in Hackney. It seemed the right thing once we met, fell in love, and lived in Hackney."

Hilary decided on a wonderfully striking gown by, Clifton, in an amazing silk fabric with botanical-inspired embroidery over the back. The bride added just one tier veil in soft tulle and wore shoes and gold and pearl hoop earrings.

"It required a long, very long time to find the right dress. I think I visited 8 boutiques and must have tried on over 45 bridal gowns! Being a designer and knowing dress shapes and fabrics managed to get hard to locate my dream dress. I wanted my dress to become modern yet classic having a slightly alternative edge."

"I love the embroidered back, the long train, and also the plunging neckline. Also, the form was so simple and easy, comfortable that was important in my experience but ultimately I felt so confident inside it!" Go

Kit decided on a navy blue two-piece suit having a crisp white shirt and pocket square, while his groomsmen wore their very own suits, and also the pageboys wore shorts, shirts and braces, and bow ties.

"I possess a massive fascination with peonies, roses, and eucalyptus so I knew I wanted these incorporated during my wedding flowers. I asked for big blooms in white, with tones of green foliage to suit perfectly my color palette. The worm did this kind of amazing job. As soon as I saw my flowers around the morning from the wedding I fell in love!"

"Joanna was incredible, and her photos are extremely awesome! From first meeting her to talk about ideas, to her fun and enthusiastic personality on our big day, she only agreed to be amazing. She is a very talented photographer and also the photos she took for all of us are stunning!"

"There are extremely many 'WOW' photos that capture the laughter and fun we had around the day. When we take a look at her photos we remember the way we felt around the day which is really what it is about!"

After the ceremony guests headed to a vintage Routemaster bus, where they were treated to Prosecco and music because they made their way over to the reception venue. Hilary and Kit took a ride inside a stunning vintage convertible Mustang, which carries by using it a lovely family story.

"There were a lot of favorite parts during the day it is tough to choose only one. I loved dancing through the night with my hubby and our friends and family to the most awesome band. I loved using a quiet minute together outside of the venue before being called in for lunch as Mr & Mrs. Wells."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Remember that your day is about the two of you. Not other people. So why are you happy. Enjoy every minute of the planning. It goes by so quickly."

"Relax and enjoy your day and don't be worried about the small things. Only a few small things went wrong on our day but I am happy they didn't even bother me one bit."
