Electric Guitar Effects
Since all kinds of electric guitars, by their definition, are electronic, most of the effects that can be achieved are electronic-changing the pitch of the guitar in some way, or affecting the actual pitch of the notes, or even changing the overall guitar sound. You may have heard of electric guitar used in a variety of different types of music, from soft songs to heavy rock, from flat crackling sounds to unique sounds created by jazz musicians. To some extent, these different sounds are produced through the playing technique used. Of course, tapping gently with your fingers will produce a completely different sound from pulling the strings with a hard pick or tapping the strings with your fingers. Each different type or style of music uses different playing techniques-but these techniques are only half the story. By using these effects that change the sound, pitch or pitch of the cheap guitars, many styles and sounds can be created electronically.
