Whaling isn't people who spend a lot of money that they do not have. It's those that have a ridiculous disposable income that spend a crap ton of a match as they have no better use for their money. Their pockets are filled with cash like how a whale is full of meat compared to a fish....
It's spending a ridiculous sum of money regardless of whether it's financially inconvenient for the person or perform this.
It's over that. Someone could drop $1k right now about the match, but when they aren't spending that exact same money following month then they are not actually a whale. Whales consistently spend a ridiculous sum of cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta money on the games and supply the vast majority of revenue for F2P games (or any games with a CS). The guy who fell $500 on the game? Or the guy who has been spend $150 on the match every month because it was around JP servers?
