Regis Chakabva scored the highest amount of individual runs against India on Thursday. He scored 35 runs from 51 balls with a strike rate of 68.63.

Deepak Chahar won the man of the match award in the first ODI match. He picked up three wickets by giving away 27 runs in seven overs with an economy rate of 3.86.

Indian wicketkeeper Sanju Samson went on to take an excellent one handed catch behind the stumps. As a result of that, Takudzwanashe Kaitano was dismissed for seven runs.
