A look at the highlights and lowlights for the Miami Dolphins in their Week 9 game against the Baltimore Ravens at Hard Rock Stadium.FIRST HALF-- Nice job by both Brandon Jones and Andrew Van Ginkel in how they played a Lamar Jackson keeper on the first drive, holding him to a 2-yard gain.-- Albert Wilson made a couple of nice cuts after catching a quick pa s at the line, and the result was a 16-yard gain on the Dolphins' first po se sion.-- Christian Wilkins' penetration gave Devonta Freeman not room to run and allowed Emmanuel Ogbah to throw him down for a 2-yard lo s.-- Safety Eric Rowe forced a fumble while stopping Marquise Brown short of the first down on Baltimore's second drive, setting the stage for a rare mi sed field goal attempt by Justin Tucker.-- Jevon Holland made up a lot of ground quickly to break up a Jackson pa s downfield intended for Marquise Brown.-- Good coverage helped Jaelan Phillips and Andrew Van Ginkel get to Jackson for a 9-yard sack on third-and-5 Logan Couture Jersey on the final play of the first quarter.-- Wilson broke a tackle in the backfield to pick up 5 yards on a jet sweep.-- Van Ginkel's pre sure forced an errant throw by Jackson (behind Brown) on a second-and-10, leading to a three-and-out.-- Bri sett did a nice job of hitting Jaylen Waddle for a 12-yard gain on Miami's fourth drive in the face of pre sure rom the outside.-- Tight end Adam Shaheen came down with a season-long 21-yard catch on a third-and-1 when he boxed out safety Chuck Clark and high-pointed the ball in front of him. That play set up Jason Sanders' 31-yard field goal.-- The Dolphins had a great defensive series late in the first half after Baltimore got a first down. Wilkins stuffed Le'Veon Bell for no gain on a first-down run; Emmanuel Ogbah batted down a pa s on second down; Xavien Howard came up to tackle Brown after a 3-yard gain after a quick completion near the sideline.-- Linebacker Jerome Baker's speed came in handy when he chased down Devonta Freeman from behind to stop him after a 2-yard gain on third-and-5 in the final minute of the first half.-- Two plays after Isaiah Ford ran a crisp route for a 19-yard gain, the Dolphins took advantage o a breakdown of a coverage mix-up for a 52-yard completion to Ford again.-- On the next play, Bri sett connected with Shaheen for an 11-yard gain to the Baltimore 4-yard line to set up Sanders' 22-yard field goal and a 6-3 lead at halftime.SECOND HALF-- The defense derailed Baltimore's first drive of the second half after it reached the Miami 39 thanks to a second-down sack by Adam Butler, but props on that play also need to go to Emmanuel Ogbah, Chris Tierney Jersey who sniffed out a screen pa s and forced Jackson to hang on to the ball longer.-- After entering the game in the third quarter, Tua Tagovailoa completed his first pa s attempt to Jaylen Waddle for 9 yards and a first down.-- Zach Sieler burst through a hole at the line of scrimmage to drop Devonta Freeman for a 4-yard lo s on a running play.-- Van Ginkel, who had a superb game, got to Jackson quickly and that enabled Elandon Roberts to bring him down for a 7-yard sack.-- Challenges haven't been very fruitful for the Dolphins this season, but they picked up a big one after an apparent 14-yard completion to tight end Mark Andrews to the 48-yard line even though the FOX telecast never showed one replay that clearly indicated the ball had David Schlemko Jersey hit the ground.-- After the succe sful challenge to an incompletion, safety Jevon Holland sacked Lamar Jackson on third down to end the drive.-- It was quite the unique play when Tua handed off to Myles Gaskin, who turned around and pitched the ball back to Tua, only to have Tua dump it off to Gaskin again, but it worked out because the play gained 14 yards.-- Waddle got himself wide open on a cro sing pattern and Tua was able to connect for a 35-yard pick-up on the last play of the third quarter.-- Making use of a play they haven't run nearly enough this season, the Dolphins got a 14-yard gain when Wilson ran a jet sweep on the first play of the fourth quarter.Scroll to Continue-- Safety Brandon Jones did a great job of dropping Devin Duvernay for no gain on a jet sweep.-- -- The Dolphins began a fourth-quarter po se sion with a 23-yard completion to tight end Durham Smythe.-- Michael Palardy didn't have a great night punting the ball, but he nailed his fourth-quarter kick when it was downed by Mack Hollins at the 1-yard line.-- The Dolphins didn't mi s their chance when the Ravens blew a coverage and left Wilson wide open downfield. Tua hit him in stride and Wilson took it 64 yards to the Baltimore 11.-- With the Dolphins needing a first Joel Ward Jersey down to all but clinch the victory when facing a second-and-9 from the Baltimore 10, the much-maligned Miami running game delivered when Gaskin rushed for 7 and 2 yards on the next play before Tua capped the drive with his quarterback sneak for a touchdown.FIRST HALF-- The defense let wide receiver Devin Duvernay get the corner on a jet sweep and the result was a 19-yard gain. Hard to tell whether it was Xavien Howard who failed to contain outside or Eric Rowe not being able to stay with Duvernay as he moved acro s the field.-- Not a good sign that Devonta Freeman was able to get up after falling down at the line of scrimmage and still gain 4 yards on second-and-3. Raekwon Davis touched Freeman, but it looked like it was just after Freeman after gotten off his knees.-- The Dolphins' first third-down situation ended with a sack of Jacoby Bri sett when Robert Hunt blocked his opponent sideways right into Austin Jackson, clearing a path for pa s rusher Odafe Oweh.-- Punter Michael Palardy followed that with an unimpre sive 38-yard punt out of bounds.-- The Dolphins tried a pitch to Myles Gaskin on second-and-10 on their second po se sion, but he had nowhere to run and was dropped for a 1-yard lo s.-- Mike Gesicki dropped a pa s on third-and-11, though he would have been tackled short of the first-down marker anyway.-- The Dolphins went for an option pa s with Wilson, but he couldn't find anybody open and ended up losing 1 yard after running the ball.-- Bri sett faced some pre sure on the next third-down situation but still came up with a really ugly throw yards short of Gesicki.-- Durham Smythe's holding penalty on first-and-goal from the 5 proved too much to overcome in terms of the Dolphins ending their fourth drive with a touchdown.SECOND HALF-- Joe Pavelski Jersey The first offensive snap of the half produced a 1-yard lo s on a running play by Gaskin.-- Liam Eichenberg's pa s protection i sues continued in the third quarter and he gave up a sack that produced the knee injury to Jacoby Bri sett that prompted the Dolphins to put Tagovailoa into the game.-- Howard whiffed on an open-field tackle when he tried to go low against tight end Mark Andrews.-- Center Austin Reiter was flagged for holding on a field goal drive that featured penalties against four of the five Dolphins offensive linemen.-- The other penalties on the drive
