Researchers at Texas A&M University have developed a coating to avoid cross-contamination between fresh fruit and vegetables, which can be applied to food-contact surfaces such as rollers, conveyor belts, and collection containers. The scientists have not only engineered their coating to be germicidal but also to be highly moisture-repellent.
