MMOexp: Don't Want You To Be Missing This Heartbreaking Quest
As with other RPGs, Elden Ring's absence from a quest log forces players to concentrate on Elden Ring Runes dialogue as well as the environment around them. follow specific NPC storylines. However, the start of one questline was so hidden that FromSoftware made steps to make sure folks would naturally gravitate towards it.
Boc The Seamster is easy to overlook. He first shows up in Limgrave, the introductory region where the Elden Ring adventure begins, but I've yet to see him once in my 100-hour game playing through. Boc hides as a shrub when it's your first encounter with him. And at the time of the game's launch Boc only yelled out to players who are passing by Tarnished when they got close enough to his grill. He's so well hidden in fact that I've seen players get close enough to start Boc's vague conversation, search the surrounding area for the source of the conversation, and finally go away without spotting his camouflage.
In the bite-sized Illusory Wall video above, the major update last month widened the frequency at which Boc begins to call out at Elden Ring players. This makes it so that those who stay on the main roads can detect Boc from the nearby cobblestone street without the need to travel into the grassy wilds surrounding it.
FromSoftware even added a rare, violet-tinted item drop nearby to entice Tarnished to explore further the area where Boc is hiding. However, it's up to the players to decide if what they'll need to do to roll into Boc's bush disguise to buy Elden Ring Runes unveil his identity.
