The New Reputation System
Blizzard’s Lead Seasons Designer, Daniel Tanguay, provided insights into the Season 5 Reputation system during a recent developer livestream. This system is reminiscent of the Iron Wolves reward system from Season 4 but with Diablo 4 Items several enhancements and broader applications.
1. Earning Reputation
Reputation will now be earnable through a variety of activities, extending beyond just Helltides and seasonal questlines. In addition to these activities, you’ll gain reputation by:
Completing Strongholds: As mentioned, Strongholds will be integral to earning reputation. Their challenge will pay off with significant reputation rewards, making them worth revisiting.
Infernal Hordes Runs: The new roguelite mode introduced this season will also contribute to your reputation. Completing runs in Infernal Hordes will be a key way to boost your standing.
Seasonal Quests: Progressing through the seasonal questline will be tied to the reputation system. You’ll need to reach certain reputation tiers to buy Diablo 4 Items advance through quests, ensuring a steady progression throughout the season.
