3D printing bed model tutorial
Step 1: Design the bed model
Design a 3D model of the bed using CAD software such as Tinkercad, Fusion 360, or SolidWorks. Consider the appearance, size and structure of the bed.
Make sure the design meets the requirements of 3D printing, including adding support structures, considering the printing direction, etc.
Step 2: Prepare for printing
Export the designed bed model to STL file format.
Use slicing software (e.g. Cura, Simplify3D) to load the STL file and set the print parameters (e.g., height, fill density, print speed).
If the bed model is too large, it may need to be divided into smaller parts to fit the printer's work area.
Step 3: 3D printing
Transfer the prepared slice file to the 3D printer.
Load the appropriate printing materials into the printer, such as PLA, ABS and other commonly used 3D printing materials.
Start the printing process and wait patiently until the printing is complete.
Step 4: Post-processing
Remove the printed bed model from the printing bed.
Remove the support structure and apply the necessary sanding and finishing to improve the appearance and texture.
If necessary, decorative treatments such as coloring or painting can be applied.
Step 5: Assemble and display
If the bed model contains multiple parts, assemble them to ensure that they are securely connected.
Show your 3D printed bed model and enjoy your creations.
Timber suggestion
Printing materials: Commonly used 3D printing materials such as PLA (environmental protection biodegradable materials), ABS (high strength, heat resistance), etc., are suitable for making small furniture models.
Fillings: Depending on the structure and strength requirements of the model, materials with different filling densities can be selected.
Color: According to personal preferences and design needs, choose the appropriate color or subsequent painting.
Please note that this is only a simple tutorial and actually making a bed requires more design, preparation and post-processing work. For a full-size bed, you need more printing space and more time. Make sure you follow safe operating procedures when operating your 3D printer and monitor the printing process at all times.
