Becoming a Medication Aide is just the beginning of your healthcare career. With experience and additional education, you can advance to higher MACE Exam -level positions, such as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN). Consider pursuing further education and certifications to expand your skills and open up new career opportunities.

  • Volunteer Work: Consider volunteering at a healthcare facility, nursing home, or similar setting where you can observe and assist with medication administration. Even if you’re not administering the medication yourself, observing the process will be valuable.
  • Simulation Labs: Some training programs offer simulation labs where you can practice medication administration in a controlled environment. These labs often use mannequins or computer simulations to replicate real-life scenarios.
