Engineers Australia has made it much easier for senior engineers to apply for Chartership via an interview. This pathway cuts out the industry review and formal assessment steps, acknowledging your years of experience with a minimal time commitment.

3. Engineers Australia membership at the level of Member or higher.
How to apply:

1. Pre-approval:
Create an expanded resume that details the major projects you have taken responsibility for and your key attainments. It should include the positions you held, situations, problems and opportunities you have had and expert skills or knowledge you applied to attain a positive outcome.
The aim of this is to ensure that the assessors can see how you have fulfilled the 16 Engineers Australia competencies related to your occupational category.
Your resume must have the names, positions, companies and contact details of two referees. One of your referees must verify your resume and qualifications. After that, email your resume and referees to Engineers Australia to request to apply for Chartered for 15+years of experience.
2. Self-assessment:
After that, EA will mail you a self-assessment form that you have to complete. Complete this form and mail it back to the authority.
If your pre-approval is confirmed, you will get another mail from Engineers Australia with a link allowing you to apply by means of the EA portal.
3. Prepare and upload documents:

EA will be in touch to fix a time for your professional interview with one of its assessors, and you will get an invitation to the online Teams or Skype interview. Generally, it takes a few weeks for an interview to be fixed.
The interview will take nearly an hour and will include a wide discussion regarding your professional career as an engineering professional. The evaluator will be looking for proof you have fulfilled the 16 competencies related to your occupational category. The authority will also use the interview to make certain that you have deep engineering knowledge and tremendous experience in your practice area.
