How do I recover my Gmail account permanently?

Steps to permanently recover your Gmail account Go to the Google Account Recovery page Visit Google Account Recovery in a web browser Enter your Gmail address and then click Next.
2. Answer your security questions Google will prompt you to enter the last password you remember. If you can't remember it, select "Try another way to get other recovery options."
3. Use a recovery email or phone If you have a recovery email or phone number, Google will send a verification code to one of them. Enter the code and follow the instructions to verify your identity.
4. Use two-step verification When two-step verification is set on your account, it will probably make you sign-in through an application from another trusted device, or in other words require you to insert a two-step authentication code in a mobile authentication application.
5. Verify by security questions You might also be prompted with security questions Google can find relevant information in their databases. Be sure to input any known information and the more you answer correctly the greater chance that you would recover your access.
6. Enter a new password After your account has been verified, you will be required to enter a new secure password. Choose something that is strong yet memorable and safely save it.
7. Lock up your account After recovering, you will need to check your account security settings, update your recovery email and phone number, and enable two-factor authentication to avoid being locked out in the future.
