(UPDATE) Following the release of this article, Deadline added a number of new names to its report of actors who are in the process of being considered for roles as lead actors in the upcoming World of Warcraft movie.

There Will Be Blood actor Paul Dano and Star Trek's Anton Yelchin are reportedly on the shortlist of other principal roles. Travis Fimmel (Vikings) and Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels ) are also being assessed, Deadline reports.

Phone Booth and In Bruges actor Colin Farrell has been offered a leading role in the forthcoming World of Warcraft movie, according to a new story on Hollywood news site Deadline.

The director Duncan Jones (Moon) is conducting WoTLK Gold tests with other performers for World of Warcraft movie's major role, although the actors were not mentioned.

The film's production should start in January. Blood Diamond and K-PAX writer Charles Leavitt authored the most modern version of World of Warcraft film's script.

The next expansion of World of Warcraft is on the World of Warcraft . Battle for Azeroth is set to go live in August but before its launch, Blizzard will roll out an extensive pre-expansion patch this week. It sets the scene for the next update and introduces several enhancements to its well-known MMO. [Update: World of Warcraft 's major pre-Battle for azeroth patch is now available on PC.This patch will be available on PC.

The pre-patch is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, July 17. As well as other features, it introduces War Mode, a new system that allows players to decide whether or not to participate in PvP battles. War Mode can be enabled from level 20 onwards through either Orgrimmar or Stormwind, depending upon your stance on the game. Turning it on will allow you to compete against other players in every zone which includes Northshire Abbey. However, Blizzard declares buy WoTLK Classic Gold that Sanctuary areas will remain excluded from PvP battles, even if War Mode is enabled.

It's not known the parts Farrell and Patton will take on. The film's plot remains largely hidden, but the Deadline report suggests the film will have "time travel and alien worlds."
