Ed Sedar moves to advisory role Earlier this afternoon, the Milwaukee Brewers announced their coaching staff for the upcoming 2021 season, and for the most part, it will be very similar to the group that operated together during the most recent campaign. Hitting coach Andy Haines and pitching coach Chris Hook will both return in their same capacities. Jacob Cruz continues as the assistant hitting coach and Steve Karsay returns to the bullpen. Walker McKinven will be back in an associate coach capacity to assist manager Craig Counsell and bench coach Pat Murphy.There is one significant shakeup Mike Trout Jersey, however.While Jason Lane will continue as a base coach, Milwaukee’s long-time third base coach, Ed Sedar, will no longer be a part of the staff as he transitions to an advisory role. Sedar has been with the organization since 1992, first as a coordinator on the minor league side of things before getting “called up” to the big leagues. He has always been a popular figure with the players and in the clubhouse, working with the MLB staff through five different managerial regimes.Sedar will be replaced on the bases by Quintin Berry, who retired after 13 years playing professionally following the 2018 season to in order to embark on his own coaching career. The soon-to-be 36 year old was Milwaukee’s minor league outfield and base running coordinator from 2019-20.Additional changes are being made to the bullpen catching group https://www.laagear.com/jared-walsh-jersey. Out the door are Robinzon Diaz as well as long-time bullpen catcher Marcus Hanel, who filled the position for two decades. Hanel was an 18th-round pick by the Pirates in 1989 and played 11 seasons in the minors before becoming Milwaukee’s bullpen catcher and serving in that role for 20 years. He has become known for his involvement in the community, including his “Koos for Kids” charity, as well as for holding the record for most cheesesteaks eaten in the visiting clubhouse in Philadelphia during a single road trip.In place of Diaz and Hanel will be Nestor Corredor and Adam Weisenburger, two players who spent time in the minors for the Brewers. Corredor was an active player from 2004-08 before spending a decade as a manager in the lower minors for the Brewers.
