When they made the numbers go up to the WOW TBC Gold point where they had to squish them to be understandable again, it was a pretty clear signal that the game had taken its course.
I'm currently playing FF14 to date. I was a big fan of FF in the past however my enthusiasm for it has decreased as time passes. Although I play it every day, I'm not able to remain for long. I'm not completely into the game yet.
My main problem to date is that I have been doing too much running and reading. To date, I'm at level 13 and am hoping to have more fun when I get higher levels.
The story begins around 20-22. You'll get a mount and fight your first primal. It's pretty enjoyable up to the end at 50. The ending will be somewhat confusing based on the patch you are using and your the xpac. The content is enjoyable, but at times not very exciting. However, the mini games as well as other activities are enjoyable, but you'll have to reach around 30 before you can start playing.
It's pretty much how I feel as well. It's an excellent alternative to WoW, so congratulations to everyone who is enjoying it. It's not The Other Big MMO, so it doesn't necessarily mean that everyone should play it.
My boner was off balance by this. They've you all over the map for seemingly insignificant reasons. Tele here, one line of text, and then tele back to where you started. Repeat for 35 levels. Due to the lack of combat, it's a difficult sell. Take this slop with a clean-up of the combat, and you have the ultimate wow-factor.
It's interesting that they cleaned it up bit and eliminated much more base game sludge. I personally don't mind the game and have played quite a amount, but I do not have the time to go on raids with friends anymore.
I'm sure I spent more time teleporting across the map than engaged in combat from 1-50. While the story may not be any less bad, but the only thing you're doing is selecting the quest's location, and then pressing teleport then what's the point. In earlier wow, there were certainly quests that had you going between the map, but can you imagine the main storyline that takes you from strangle thorn to the south shore each quest for buy WOW Classic Burning Crusade Gold 50 levels?? There are two buttons which will allow you to trigger a massive gcd once you've entered combat.
