This is only a problem because Dark and darkers combat Dark And Darker Gold, in this state is the same as mine craft, arguably less complex because mine craft moves faster forcing players to think faster and you can use fewer items in combat to get the upper hand.

Now that's going to upset allot of people, and it should. but its important to put it out there, because mine craft also has building, environmental manipulation, and extensive gathering to work with. with dark and darker the meat of the game is its combat, everything else is in service to that combat and you have nothing that can distract you from it.

Here are my proposed changes:

Blocking: Remove directional from it. if you initiate a block an an enemy is in front of you your character automatically blocks in such a way to intercept the attack. this may sound like dumbing down at first, it will be in service to the mechanics later to make it simpler.

Right clicking with a melee weapon or staff in hand this preforms a short duration called a parry, The length of the block would be adjusted based upon how easy it might theoretically be to block with that weapon for example, a dagger probably would have a very short window a spear or staff would have a more generous window.

Parrying successfully always results in a brief duration where the enemy can't follow up with another attack this already happens but its important for the foundation to be said cheap Dark And Darker Gold.
