To extract files on a Mac, you can follow these steps:
-
Find the compressed file you want to extract. It will usually have a .zip, .rar, or .7z file extension.
-
Double-click the compressed file to open it in Finder. Alternatively, you can right-click on the file and choose "Open With" > "Archive Utility" to extract the file.
-
Wait for the extraction process to complete. This may take a few seconds to several minutes depending on the size of the file.
-
Once the extraction is complete, you will see a new folder with the same name as the compressed file in the same directory as the compressed file.

You can now open the extracted files by double-clicking on them, or you can move them to a different location on your Mac.
Note: Some compressed files may require a specific application to extract them. If you don't have the required application, you may need to download it before you can extract the files.
