Depending on if you’re playing Hardcore or Softcore, you'll have to adjust your routine depending on how good the apparatus you find is. An example is when you have plenty of Life & Resistance from drops you receive during the Acts, you can focus on using the damage-providing nodes within the defensive ones and the other way around. The links here are trees which should fit in just about any situation regardless of drop RNG.

Masteries

A large amount of the masteries available is dependent on a matter of personal preference however, many are more or less mandatory.

Life mastery: “+50 to maximum life” is a mastery you want to pick up the moment possible

Minion Defence Mastery: “Minion has +8% to any or all maximum elemental resistances” At first glance, this doesn’t sound excellent but this construct, it makes your whole army near to immortal and it is extremely important

Minion Offence Mastery: “Minions penetrate 8% of cursed enemies' elemental resistances” Since we're scaling Spectres that'll be doing 100% lightning damage we’ll have full take advantage of this mastery node

Mana Mastery: “12% increased mana reservation efficiency of skills” This allows us to reserve all auras we want for the build to function

Minion Offence Mastery: “20% increased effect of offerings” This further scales our Flesh Offering to allow us to deal more damage

Minion Offence Mastery: “Minions have a 30% increased section of effect” Since we're doing single-target by splashing out lots of projectiles from your Spectres, they must have this increased area mastery

Amulet Anointment

In my estimation, there’s only one Notable worth anointing with this build and that's Testudo this involves 1x Clear Oil, 1x Sepia Oil & 1x Black Oil.
