The Program was initially scribed and typed up during the years of 1965–1972 by two teachers of Medical Psychology at Columbia University: Helen Schucman and Statement Thetford.

One early morning in 2015, Brian began producing the Text and Workbook Lessons of A Course in Miracles. Every morning for one year, he was encouraged to begin the day in that way.
