Lightning Spear was a'fire and forget' type of ability which bored me. Turning into"lightning incarnate" with Diablo IV Gold Conduit was fun for displaying to the 2 players I encountered on the street.
The Druid, who yields from Diablo 2, was more fun. His mouse-bound abilities temporarily change him into a werewolf or werebear because he strikes, and also the latter slams his paws to the floor to collect big lumps of enemies (it is kind of cute, in a bloody way). I was a little disappointed there's no Hemlock Grove-like transformation--it is basically instantaneous --but I like how enormous the bear form feels. Walking up to a horde of ghouls then dashing to them as a towering fur projectile using the Trample capability was enjoyable for the entire 20 minutes. I sort of wish the Druid's human kind were smaller to make the transformation more dramatic.
Diablo 4 will be online-only again--let us hope for no Error 37 now --however there are now no plans to the identical kind of market Diablo 3 launched with. There will be guilds and player trading, however that'll all work isn't nailed down. PvP was planned from the beginning. The quality of lifestyle improvements Diablo 3 launched without are all there, and placing waypoints on the map and then obtaining a Google Maps-like principle about the minimap is fantastic. Diablo 4 is a very'we've heard your feedback' match, though with some concessions for modernity, since it's an online game and answers about monetization that is in-game have been vague. I can see braving PvP zones building guilds, and making connections to strangers. I may also see it distracting from the feeling.
