The 10-year gap since the Dark And Darker Gold last Armored Core game played a big part in determining the tone FromSoftware wanted to convey, because both the developer and the fictional setting have evolved dramatically since 2013. Guns and spells clash in real-time cooperative RPG Dark Envoy

"In terms of how [those 'keywords'] differ from previous ACs, this time, while establishing a feel of old nostalgic sci-fi, the scale and the technology of the world has vastly increased since the previous AC games," Yamamura said. "You're going to see these kinds of images and settings almost up in space in AC6. So we wanted that scale to be conveyed through the music as well. A lot of that musical direction ties into that aspect of the game as well."

Hands up if you like it when there's magic and also a gun. Right, then, y'all get on over and check out Dark Envoy, a game with an hour and a half demo out now in the Steam Next Fest that's an ismoetric, real-time with slowdown and pause RPG with the interesting twist of being available both for single-player and online cooperative play.

The demo lets you play out two missions as a "party of relic hunters in a tale of destiny set in a conflict-torn world." It also has an emphasis on changing and using terrain. Cover lets your ranged characters defend themselves, and abilities let you do things like raise stone walls. Certain spots on the battlefield also regenerate your health or mana, so controlling them is key to Dark And Darker Gold for sale victory.
