Of course, you can create multiple accounts on MetaMask to make sure that you do not get confused with the crypto tokens you have in your wallet. By creating different accounts for one MetaMask wallet, it becomes extremely easy for users to store ETH which then could be used for paying the transaction processing fee.

Although it is suggested to not create so many accounts for a single wallet as it may lead to confusion, you can definitely give it a try by creating just two accounts in the beginning and more, later on, if you prefer.

So, today, we have decided to walk you through the process to create an additional account on MetaMask using the same MetaMask log in credentials.

Steps to set up an additional account

Before you begin, you should acknowledge that a default account is created at the time when you first set up your wallet and this account is labeled as account 1. You can easily change the account name if you prefer. But, if you still wish to have an additional account and you are ready to manage your funds separately, here are the easy steps you can follow:

  1. Sign in to MetaMask with your current MetaMask login credentials
  2. When into your account, click on the circular profile icon given at the top of the page
  3. Thereon, click the “create account” option present with a “+” sign
  4. Now, you are supposed to select a name for this account
  5. And, hit the “create” option to confirm the name
  6. That’s how easily you can set up an additional account on MetaMask

Important: you should only create this extra account if you are very sure that you will be able to use and manage this account along with the previous one. This is because you cannot delete your account once you have created it and it will remain in your profile forever.

Conclusion:

As you can see, it is extremely easy to have an additional account on the MetaMask platform. To access this new account, you can use your existing MetaMask sign in credentials. However, we suggest you never share details including your password, the secret recovery phrase, and other login details with anyone. Doing so will only cause you trouble and only you will have to face the consequences.
