January / February

Dubai Shopping Festival Dubai Shopping Festival Dubai is considered to be a shoppers' paradise all year round with January being a great time to get bargains. Millions of people come to the city's stores during The Shopping Festival which takes place all through January. There are firework displays as well as concerts, and entertainment for children that offer a pleasant respite from the bustle and hustle of the bustle of shopping.

Festival of Taste - If you are a foodie This is the festival you should not miss. The festival is held at The Madinat Jumeirah, the festival is held for a whole week with the world's top chefs preparing specialities for various occasions, while also giving advice for cooking and presentation.

June / July / August

Dubai Summer Surprises are designed for tourists to get excited about visiting Dubai during the hottest part of the year. Spread over 10 weeks, this year's DSS (Dubai Summer Surprises) are split into different themes such as arts, food, adventure and nature. The majority of hotels in the city offer special 'shopaholic' travel deals to draw more visitors to Dubai.

September /October

Motexha Textile Show - Attracting exhibitors and visitors from across the region, this trade fair, which is held every year, is the largest one of its type in the Middle East. It is held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, the fair has more than 500 exhibitor booths covering all aspects of the clothing and textile trade.

October / November

UAE Desert Challenge - Starting off in Abu Dhabi and finishing in Dubai This event is the final race in the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup. If you are a fan of fast cars, this five day event is the one for you.

 

Desert Rhythm - A fairly new two-day music festival that features artists such as Kanye West and the British music producer and singer Mika have been introduced to the UAE.

National Day Festival - Dubai's National Day Festival is celebrated every year, marking its independence from Great Britain. The city puts on many different events that are open to the people to enjoy throughout the day.

 

Dubai Rugby Sevens - Every year the Dubai Exiles Rugby Club hosts host to the first game of the IRB Sevens Series. This three day event sees 16 International rugby teams battle to take home the series trophy. Shows and events for everyone add to the fun of this exciting event.
