Runescape is indeed utterly grindy
That is OSRS gold why bots exist. Runescape is so completely grindy and people do not wish to get it done. They just need to pk and perform all the fun things. Me, I mainly need to quest, but the reqs can at times involve serious grinding.
I do think simply increasing xp would make the game somewhat dull, so there would have to be adjustments to how skills are educated, not just an increase in xp. Make them more engaged and involved. I really would not know how to go about that though... also, make effigies more common and usable by lower levels. Give quests much larger XP rewards. ... and that is all I've got. Again, I'm clueless as to how this can actually happen, since I have not played some other MMOs for reference. What about you? How do you think training can change? Do you think the grind is a problem in any way?
I recall when I first started playing RuneScape I was quite the noob. I was around age 9 or 10 and so this match was one of the coolest things ever to me personally. However the game was still mind-numbingly enjoyable. I remember when I needed to think of an account name, the coolest thing I could think about was"Killer1 1234." And when it came into my Sals name, I had been"KILLL."
Some examples: Going to the chicken farm in Lumbridge and asking where Lumbridge had been. Creating new accounts simply to get the 10k from Stronghold of Security and transferring it to my chief. Painstakingly spending times to get 100k. Training on Giant Spiders from the Lumbridge Swamp. NEVER knowing where Port Sarim was and ALWAYS getting lost trying to arrive. Getting Mind Runes by picking up the spawns in the Lumbridge castle. Obtaining Chaos Runes by selecting up the spawns in the Wilderness.
Personally, I am against having BXP weekends, because these events benefit mostly the people who stockpile vast amounts of equipment to make profit, while causing prices to rise that you wind up hardly saving any cash from the bonus XP. In addition, these events promote unhealthy gameplay and/or account sharing, because the XP multiplier never enhances to 1x, even after 10 hours. Eventually, I dislike how these events are created with the aim to boost revenue during days where many individuals cheap School RS Gold would otherwise cancel membership for college.
