Cyanate Ester Resins are formed by the reaction of aromatic monomers containing cyanate ester functional groups. The most commonly used monomer is bisphenol-E dicyanate which contains two cyanate ester groups. During curing, the cyanate ester groups trimerize via cyclo-addition reactions to form triazine rings. The presence of rigid triazine rings locked in a three-dimensional network provides cyanate ester resins their excellent thermo-mechanical properties
The unique combination of high thermal stability, dielectric, mechanical and fire resistant properties makes Cyanate Ester Resins ideal for applications requiring performance under extreme environmental conditions.
