Establishment and Growth of KSA Tire
KSA Tire was established in 1980 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by Khalid Saud Alotaibi. Starting with only two employees in a small garage, Alotaibi's vision was to provide high-quality tires at affordable prices to customers in the Kingdom. Within a few years, the company began to see strong growth as word of mouth about their tires and excellent customer service spread. By 1990, KSA Tire had opened three more outlets across Riyadh and had over 30 employees.

Expansion Across Saudi Arabia
To meet growing demand and better serve customers nationwide, KSA Tire embarked on an ambitious expansion plan in the late 1990s. Between 1998-2005, they opened 20 new outlets in major cities across all regions of Saudi Arabia including Jeddah, Dammam, Taif, Tabuk and Hail. This allowed the company to solidify its position as the leading tire retailer in the domestic market. Today, KSA Tire has a nationwide network of 50 outlets and over 1000 employees serving both individual consumers and commercial fleet customers.

R&D and Quality Assurance
While expansion was key, KSA Tire also focused on continuous product innovation through heavy investments in research and development. The company established an in-house R&D lab and testing facility in 2000. Senior engineers and chemists work to develop new tire compounds that provide better performance, longer lifespan and reduced fuel consumption for customers. All KSA Tire products undergo rigorous testing before market launch to ensure they meet and exceed international quality standards. This focus on innovation and quality assurance has earned KSA Tire a reputation as a manufacturer of top-tier tires within the Middle East region.

Forging Strategic Partnerships
To further strengthen its market leader position, KSA Tire has forged strategic partnerships with several global tire brands over the years. In 2010, KSA Tire became the authorized distributor for Michelin tires across Saudi Arabia through a landmark dealership agreement. They also distribute Pirelli, Goodyear, Dunlop, Continental and Bridgestone tires under original equipment manufacture (OEM) and replacement categories. These partnerships allow the company to provide customers an even wider choice of premium international brands while also leveraging the extensive distribution network and service centers of partners.

Expanding Product Portfolio
While tires remain the core product, KSA Tire has gradually expanded into other automotive product categories over the past decade. In 2015, they introduced automotive batteries under the KSA Power brand which are now widely available at all outlets. Other complementary products such as brake pads, shock absorbers, engine oil and wiper blades were added in later years. This has strengthened KSA Tire’s positioning as a one-stop-shop for all vehicle maintenance needs. It also provided new revenue streams that have helped insulate the business from volatility in the tire market. Today, non-tire products account for 15% of KSA Tire’s total revenues.

Strong Online Presence and m-Commerce
No company can ignore the digital transformation sweeping across all industries today. KSA Tire launched its fully functional e-commerce website www.ksatire.com in 2017 to provide customers an online purchasing channel. The site allows users to browse the entire product range, read specifications, compare options, and place orders for delivery or pick up. In 2018, they launched a mobile shopping app with enhanced features like augmented reality product visualization and live chat assistance. These digital platforms have helped KSA Tire better serve the growing number of online customers, particularly the younger generation. Analysis shows 20% of total sales now originate from the online channels.

Sustainability Initiatives
In line with its vision of being an industry leader, KSA Tire is strongly committed to sustainable practices. All facilities are equipped with energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems.Rainwater harvesting and wastewater treatment plants have also been installed. KSA Tire was among the first companies in the sector to introduce retread tires in 2005 to promote circular economy. Used tires areregrounded into reusable compounds, extending product lifespan by 2-3 extra cycles. Their shredding facility converts end-of-life tires into raw material for civil construction. These green initiatives have resulted in 30% reduction in company’s carbon footprint over last 5 years.

Community Engagement Programs
