Alterac Valley Battleground Alterac Valley battleground was wow tbc classic gold released in WoW the month of June in patch 1.5.0. The location is within the Alterac Mountains, which lie between the Horde outpost of Mor'Shan Rampart and the Alliance's Silverwing Outpost in Ashenvale. In Alterac it is the Horde is controlled by General Drek'Thar from the Frostwolf clan, while the Alliance is commanded by general Vanndar Stormpike of the Stormpike guard. Both Vanndar and Drek'Thar are new legendary cards with the Hearthstone expansion.
Just a few days after the release of Hearthstone's brand new Mercenaries mode, Blizzard announced that it has added a new Honor feature to Hearthstone. The next time players enter Hearthstone, they'll have to select if they're Horde or Alliance as they do when WoW players must make the choice when they make their first character. After the decision is made then players will be granted the rank of Private if they are Alliance or Scout in the case of Horde. Players can move up the ranks by earning honor points which are awarded upon the completion of games played in these game types: Standard, Arena, and Duels game modes. If a player plays against a player from the opposing side, they will earn double the honor points if they succeed in winning the match.
In the event that a player swears allegiance, they will receive the golden legendary card of the Faction's most famous card, such as Drek'Thar or Vanndar. It is not necessary to be concerned about not having one of these cards since they'll also be provided with an epic quest chain to complete through the expansion. Every time a player improves their honor score or reaches a certain level, they will receive a golden version of a rare card in the new expansion. These cards will be the same for any player, regardless of affiliation. If a player attains the top honor rank then they will receive the faction's legendary golden minion. The ability to earn cards in this manner is yet another step Hearthstone is making to become more accessible to new players.
The rewards don't end there though; after January 11. Blizzard will announce the winner of the faction that has the most amount of Honor points from all participants who participated in the competition. Every player, regardless of the faction they picked will be awarded an upgraded version in diamonds of the winning faction's leader card. Players can still continue earning honor points after that until the next expansion launches, so they'll be able to claim the free cards by increasing their levels.
Fractured In Alterac Valley is one of Hearthstone's most exciting expansions and many of the players are impressed by how much the new content draws inspiration from The original World of Warcraft source material.
