Like most indie game RuneScape gold developers our entry into the games business was through tinkering with games concepts and codes over some time before finally creating something playable!

I've got 10 years' experience working at Google before I made the choice that I wanted to pursue game development full-time. Matt's work spans the construction of Hollywood computer systems for film sets, and a brief stint in South Korean esports and mobile game development. We're so excited to share the progress we've made using This Means Warp.

A variety of video games have been a source of inspiration for aspiring developers to create their own. But it's uncommon to see a derivative work picked up by the company that made the original title.

This, however, was the case for Brendan Malcolm, the one-man team at Australian producer Games By Malcs, whose idle RPG Melvor Idle is currently being released by Jagex the company that developed RuneScape -- a title that was at the heart of Malcolm's motivation behind his own project.

Melvor Idle strips away the 3D graphics and environments of RuneScape and other MMOs and reduces it into a simple idle-type game in which players can manage their skills, inventory and quests. Engaging in combat as well as winning them earns you XP and loot, which is then placed into the improvement tree or skill tree players want, while repeating things like crafting or cutting wood yields benefits.

Malcolm has played RuneScape since he was a kid and has also dabbled in several of the most OSRS GP popular idle games, such as Clicker Heroes, Cookie Clicker and NGU Idle. While he enjoyed them however, he believed that this genre could offer more to make it fulfilling in a way similar as Jagex's most popular RPG.
