You can consider having a gate in places like the front door, the entrance to the balcony or some of the rooms where you do not want the kid.
It is possible that you have some spaces, such as your bedroom, off-limits to your kid. Remember that most kids are going to gain mobility through crawling when they are somewhere between 6 to 9 months, then you need to prepare for this as early as possible. Keep things up off the floor so that your child is not able to access it and think carefully about the places they go.
