The Gemini Credit Card will be available in all 50 U.S. States and will be accepted wherever Mastercard is accepted. The card will be rolled out this summer, and those on the waitlist will have first access to apply. When approved, you can earn up to 3% back on dining, 2% back on groceries, and 1% back on other purchases. You can also transfer any crypto rewards earned through the credit card directly into Gemini Earn, our new interest-earning program. If you have additional questions about the Gemini Credit Card.

While the cryptocurrency earning for the Gemini Credit Card is straightforward and user friendly, the card does have some drawbacks. As of right now Gemini has not announced any welcome bonus for the card as we wait for the card to be released. In addition, the card only has two bonus categories—dining and groceries. For groceries, you’ll get 3% back on up to $6,000 in purchases annually. Once you hit $6,000 in spend, you’ll drop down to 1% until your limit resets. You earn 1% on all other purchases but there are much better cash-back bonus category cards.

Ultimately, the Gemini Credit Card feels like it could be a solid but not spectacular crypto-earning card. If you want the convenience of your rewards going directly into crypto, this no annual fee card may be for you. However, spending on a cash-back credit card and converting that cash to the cryptocurrency of your choice might present a better value proposition overall if you’re willing to put in the extra work.
