India vs Afghanistan: Brett Lee wants Mohammed Shami to be part of Indian squad for T20 World Cup

Former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee wants to see Mohammed Shami in the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. Brett Lee has suggested that Shami is a top class bowler.

He said, “If you mention Mohammed Shami – obviously pending fitness – and if we are talking purely on selection, for me, it’s really hard to look past Shami.

Why do I say so? Because he is a world-class bowler and he’s proven that. He’s been around for a long time. If he is fully fit, ready to go, then I would want someone under pressure, at the end of the game, with the experience like Mohammed Shami.

He’s been there before. He has been in situations where Australia needed 10 for the last over. He’s been in situations where he has bowled in difficult conditions in Australia.

He is a skiddy bowler, he is quick, can bowl good bouncer. I’m gonna advocate for him definitely because I think he would be good for the team, pending fitness.”
