The PC versions as well as the Xbox 360 versions looked excellent and are visually undistinguishable from each other due to the extremely modified Unreal Engine 3 engine which powers the WoW cataclysm Gold game. The detail level in these types of games keeps getting better however, the thing that really caught our attention was the elaborate effects of shadows and light. The battle in a darkened fashion and being able to see the face of an German soldier glowing with the bright white blast from his assault rifle creates a truly cinematic experience.

Perhaps the most effective way to summarize our experiences is to mention that we began every battle several times and each was a different experience based on the location we were in and what we chose to do. In one instance we were content to stay on the tops of the hills and take aim at the pockets of resistance. In another, we swooped down and fought for an objective, which included the destruction of an anti-aircraft gun. In another instance, we headed straight to the headquarters of the enemy by escaping the mansion before fighting firefights in close range.

It's no surprise that this keeps the game fresh and you must stay alert in contrast to the past days of remembering the appearance and timing of each enemy within the game. The Medal of Honor: Airborne looks much more than capable of revitalizing the franchise, and adding the needed innovation into an extremely dated genre. Perhaps the most exciting thing is that this game is currently still in the final stage of development, and will be released in August, two months away.

Blizzard has a huge exhibition in the South at the Los Angeles Convention C, which is where the company will show the two forthcoming WoW Cataclysm Classic games.
