Are you an engineer or geoscientist with a keen desire to work in Saskatchewan as a licensed one? If you are, then here, we have something valuable for you; we will tell you about the APEGS CBA system. To know what it is and how it can take you to your desired destination, read this blog.
However, you must remember first that before you become eligible for applying for your professional licence, you are required to have four years of engineering/geoscientist work experience that the Experience Review Committee has assessed.
APEGS Competency-Based Assessment (CBA):
The licensing authority, APEGS uses an online CBA system, which is also called a competency-based assessment system for the assessment of a candidate’s work experience. Besides providing validated examples to show each of the competencies, you need to have a minimum of four years of experience validated in the APEGS CBA system.
We advise you to hire an APEGS competency report writing expert to get everything done systematically. The expert will also guide you about beginning your assessment.
How to report in the APEGS CBA system?
Follow the below-given instructions for an APEGS competency assessment:
- Go to https://competencyassessment.ca.
- Choose the ‘Applicants’ section.
- Adhere to the instructions appearing on the screen.
- Create an account using your APEGS Registration/Application number and your User ID.
- Select ‘Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan’ as your jurisdiction.
- An email notification will be sent to you once your account is approved. This may take nearly 5 business days. These accounts are approved manually M-F 8:00 to 5:00.
- Access the system by choosing ‘I am a registered user and would like to access the Competency Assessment System’.
- Start entering your information adhering to the instructions on the screen. At this time, your educational information doesn’t appear in the CBA system.
Switching from Paper-Based Reporting to the CBA system:
If having already started reporting your experience in the old paper-based system, you can complete your reporting in that system, or move to the new CBA system. If you have not already started your reporting, you must use CBA.
You should get your assessment result after 6 to 8 weeks when your report is submitted. If having any errors or omissions in the report, the authority will inform you. After that, the report has to be resubmitted.
