The CPEng Australia credential is the highest available technical one for an engineer. It’s not only nationally recognized, but it has global recognition as a measure of excellence. This status signifies a certain level of skill, talent and experience.
If having a Chartered credential, you will have solid value in the years you have dedicated to the profession. It gives prospective employers and clients immediate respect and confidence in your capability.
This credential will also open doors for you to take your career to the next level. Besides that, getting a job in any part of the world will not be an issue for you.
Eligibility criteria for Chartership:
To deserve a CPEng Australia credential, you need to become an Engineers Australia member and have five years or more of engineering experience.
Aside from that, you need to satisfy and maintain competency across 16 elements related to your occupational category and area of practice. These 16 elements of Engineers Australia competencies sit across four core areas:
- Obligation to community
- Personal commitment
- Technical proficiency
- Value in the workplace
If having more than 15 years of work experience, the application process is more streamlined. For that, you should hire an EA CPEng report writing professional expert.
If holding a Chartered credential from overseas, you need to apply through a mutual recognition agreement. You will need to provide proof of a minimum of 150 hours of CPD over the last three years.
How to reinstate CPEng Australia credential or EA membership:
If you have your EA membership or Chartership lapsed, you can reinstate them without any problems.
For the reactivation of your membership, you need to log in to the EA portal using your mail address or EA ID number. For that, select Re-join my membership from the home and adhere to the prompts. Besides that, you can also reinstate your Chartered status in the membership application.
If you are a current member but have your CPEng status lapsed, mail EA and explain that you want to reinstate your Chartered credential. The authority will contact you to explain how to do this. Aside from that, it will also tell you about the cost.
