The next update to WoTLK Gold takes the game to a place that hasn't been explored much before it: the Shadowlands, Azeroth's version of the afterlife. Although there's not much mention of the area in either game lore or in previous games, Blizzard has been free to explore a complete World of Warcraft , with its own rules and peoples and are set to offer a host of new ideas into the somewhat stalwart MMO.

As discussed on stage at Blizzcon 2019 in San Francisco, a major priority for Shadowlands is on improving player autonomy. While the new expansion is expected to feature a relatively linear story that will carry you through its major locations and introduce you to the diverse factions, it will provide plenty of opportunities to make significant choices. You'll choose a faction to join, and it will come with an ending tale to finish, and also present the player with choices that play into the appearance of your gear and the loadouts.

According to executive producer John Hight and senior game designer Johnny Cash explained in an interview with P2Pah Your journey to Shadowlands will first take you through its four major locations: Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald and Revendreth. In each, you'll meet a different Covenant--Shadowlands ruling groups--and talk with their leaders, while completing quests that give you a sense of who all these people and what they're after.

"We wanted to have a good story arc [in Shadowlands")," Hight explained. "So this time, we're going to guide you through each of the Covenants in a linear manner in order that the story and the conflict and alliances within the Covenants can be explained. If we've provided players with the option of going to a specific zone or another, that's cool, and those stories are pretty self-contained. I believe we've done a amazing job with this particularly in [Battle For cheap WOW WoTLK Classic Gold Battle for Azeroth. However, this is important in that the Covenants are completely unexplored. It's not something discussed inside World of Warcraft lore. It's essential that we play it out for you and give you the details of the interactions between them."
