Blizzard has vowed not to replace Diablo 2 with Diablo 2: Resurrected. In a video Q&A below, principal designer Rob Gallerani said"no, certainly not" in response to the question:"will D2:R overwrite an original D2 installation?"
"Everything you've got concerning D2 currently will remain D2. This is a separate product, independent game. You are able to play 'em both at exactly the exact same time if you want."
This is key because of Blizzard's form with the contentious Warcraft 3 remaster. With the launching of Warcraft 3: Reforged, Blizzard strangely uttered the original Warcraft 3 client from Battle.net, pushing an update to Buy Diablo 2 Items convert into Reforged, which then allow you to toggle to the original visuals.
