There is a nice saying ... "In vino veritas" ... and i've always thought about it.
Translation means ... that in the wine we'll find the truth.
Or better said ... while drinking we'll say the truth .... of what we really believe.
And ... i smile, cause i saw that many times.
At many people.
But also ... at myself.
Recently ... i've had the chance to see again a weird story.
Daniel ... and Ashley.
Somehow ... a paradox.
You see .... we all worked together.
... by more than 3-4 years.
So ... i've had the chance to see how they acted many times.
And ... realised that she was always weird with him.
Somehow hating him ... for the simple reason that he existed on the stage of her life.
But ... no matter what ... Daniel was always acting nicely with her.
In fact ... i believe that he liked her so much ... that he could
not do that.
Never.
The funny thing is that at the first party we've been ... seeing her a little bit drunk ... I've suddenly realised that he was smiling to him.
Somehow ... obviously flirting ....
I could not believe it.
So ... I've treated all as an accident.
But 2 months later ... we've been into a trip of 3 days.
Ashley was with her husband.
Daniel was with his wife.
The same thing happened again.
This time ... i saw her being drunk everyday.
Yes...
And .... she was always looking at him .... smiling.
But ... Monday morning ... we go to work ... and i see her again acting so, so stupid with him.
Ironically ... i've asked her ... "Are you in love him .... or actually hate him?!"
100% she was very annoyed of my question.
I've not even said it is about .... Daniel ... and she almost wanted to kill me.
So ... Ashley was revealing her love for him ... only when she could not control herself anymore.
... being under the influence of alcohol.
A clear example of the expression ... in vino veritas.
From that day .... I was smiling ironically each time when i was seeing her.
One day ... she stopped me ... saying "I've been thinking …
and maybe it's true. But i am married ... and he's married too."
Smiling ....i've replied ...
"But being married ... is not a handicap.
And ... i've also noticed that each time when you drink ... you smile.
By the way ... do you know that you never smile?!
... and i know you for years.
Also ... that smile ... makes you have the look of a princess.
So ... do it more often.
Yes ... drink more."
We've ... both ... started to laugh.
Then ... i've also said ... "Or become more conscious of all is going on when you drink.
I mean ... what you express into those moments.
And .... why you do it."
It was maybe the first and last time when i chatted with her ... but i found it weird ... that being so in love with him ... she acted in fact ... like a person hating him ... to death.
Most certainly ... they had a connection.
Maybe ... from another life.
But ... was not properly ... expressed.
... like in many, many other stories.
