Maps are no longer split into regions with PSO2 Meseta loading screens. NG will have a completely open world in the home base to the field. The TGS footage showed a gorgeous new world that's a substantial upgrade from the current game. Arai mentions that different areas can be reached easily by simply traversing the world. It looks like this is the world Naberious in the current match, with forests being adjacent to tundra and different areas. Areas continue to be technically split up, but there is no loading between these. While it has not been directly said, an open world such as this suggests there may not be single celebration places anymore. Most revealed in the footage were multi-party areas where there were other players. The cap for multi-party areas continues to be reduced to eight down from twelve in the current PSO2, but that you see will differ from area to area.

Weather is creating a much better comeback since it changes dynamically and may impact the battlefield, even though the magnitude of the effect wasn't spoken of. Time may also change, and footage showed some nice touches such as fireflies in the woods at night. There is no word on fast travel, vehicles or mounts yet, but Sega has implemented some new ways for players to move fast across this new world. Players will be able to run faster after a dodge both in and out of battle. A blue series follows underfoot, so you'll know you're doing it right when you see it.

Another significant addition to movement shown off in the first NG trailer is the slide. It goes as far as a few of the screenshots have left it seem. Players can get to high ground and jump off to glide and get pretty damn far through the map. Like in Breath of the Wild, you will be able to make you are way up a mountain to glide off from -- but minus anything inhibiting you enjoy endurance. It will also make for some dramatic entrances into battle. Sega mentioned that gathering and crafting would be getting an overhaul, and while we didn't get a look at crafting, we did observe just how much nicer it would be to snag items within the field. Gathering can be done on the fly, similar to Dragon Hunter: World. Get close to an item, and just tap a button. Fruit can be picked in trees, there are new docile creatures which may be searched for meat and other items and healing items can be found throughout the land as green glowing indicators called Resta Signs. It's much more intuitive than the present game. It is just quicker, more mobile and smoother. There are no longer Perfect Attacks; rather, it is more like contemporary action games with combos and counterattacks. Dodging and blocking is more fluid for all classes too. Certain classes may observe a difference in drama. There is no more attacking in the atmosphere indefinitely, therefore expect to be on the floor more dodging and countering. Attacks and PAs are set up the exact same manner they're currently with certain buttons performing specific attacks or the 1-2-3 system. So far as PB's go, since Mag's will not be part of gameplay , they act more like Sophisticated Photon Arts, which have been introduced in Japan's PSO2 with Episode 6. Rather than summoning a creature, PB's will instead be a massive attack dealing serious damage that should be recharged through battle.

Of the three courses they showed, Force had some of the biggest changes. They finally have a block similar to Hunters on top of can you buy meseta on pso2 their dodge, which is a much-needed addition since they may be delicate and slowed down by Technique charging. Techniques also have gotten better because they no longer need to be charged to use. They now have an uncharged strike which, while not as strong as the billed version, still does some good damage.
