Uttar Pradesh is situated in the heart of India sharing borders with Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Bihar which provides it a very dynamic socio-economic framework. It is an agriculture-dependent state with a vast rural stretch with life and aspirations. With a population of more than 200 million, Uttar Pradesh is one of the country’s most populated states and contributes a fair share of the GDP of the country.

However, the reason behind this agricultural abundance is the socio-economic challenges that have long plagued its rural communities. In response to these challenges, successive governments have launched Uttar Pradesh Welfare Schemes and initiatives aimed at uplifting the rural populace, addressing issues ranging from poverty and unemployment to infrastructure development and social welfare.

These government-sponsored schemes are designed to empower rural residents and increase the pace of sustainable development.
