Working Principle

A floating ball valve operates by using a spherical ball with a hole in the centre  positioned inside the valve body. The ball is not fixed, but instead "floats" between two seats: one on the upstream side and the other on the downstream side. When the valve handle is rotated, the ball turns 90 degrees to align the hole with the flow path, allowing fluid to pass through. When the valve handle is turned in the opposite direction, the ball rotates and the hole is positioned perpendicular to the flow, effectively blocking the fluid.
