In another piece of PlayStation news, PS4's God of War Ragnarok has finally been certified as gold since PlayStation has confirmed the fact that it was created by nine different studios.
Sony has plans to be ambitious for the next generation of hardware for virtual reality and plans that it will have two million models of its PSVR 2 headset ready by March next year.
Production of the VR headset is believed to have begun at the end of September (via Bloomberg) and has not yet faced any shortages in the supply chain. With the PS5 remaining in high demand due to its lack of availability when it first launched in November 2020, Sony also plans to keep more consoles on shelves in early 2023 according Bloomberg's sources.
PSVR 2 isn't yet set to receive a date beyond 2023, however Sony has been working hard to ensure that there's enough PS5 consoles that will play games with the new headset. The headset will work only with PS5 and will not be backwards compatible with PSVR games.
The most we know about the equipment is that it is equipped with impressive specifications. Like the PS5 along with the DualSense controller Sony included haptic feedback as well as adaptive triggers eye-tracking, inside-out tracking as well as 3D sound into its kit, but it hasn't yet been released with a final retail price.
"PSVR 2 seems poised to be an opportunity for the gaming arena," Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot's PSVR 2 preview. "It still remains to be determined whether PSVR 2 will garner widespread excitement cheap FIFA 23 Coins, but at least, I'm sure that it'll take us one step closer in achieving its full potential."
